The party and government delegation from Heilongjiang Province went to the Yangtze River Delta for study and investigation, and Meiya Optoelectronics was one of the stops. Meiya Optoelectronics is a leading enterprise in the field of photoelectric identification in China. Its product sales cover all provinces, cities and regions in the country, and are exported to more than 100 countries and regions around the world. More than 60,000 customers around the world are using products made by Meyer. They have expanded the application field of identification technology from the agricultural product processing industry to the non-destructive testing of industrial products and the digital medical industry, and are constantly moving towards the international high-end application field.

Nowadays, we cannot eat clean rice without the color sorter developed by Meiya Optoelectronics. In the 1990s, rice color sorters were still rare in China, and the core technology has been monopolized by foreign countries. The country can only rely on imports, and the price can easily exceed one million yuan. In 1993, Tian Ming, who was in his forties, founded Hefei Anke Optoelectronics, the predecessor of Meiya Optoelectronics, and began to independently develop color sorters. After nearly 3 years of painstaking research and development, finally launched my country’s first rice color sorter with independent intellectual property rights in 1996, breaking the foreign monopoly, and the price is less than one-third of similar foreign equipment imported.

“Over the years, Meiya has made continuous breakthroughs. Through the integration of core software and hardware technologies such as deep self-learning, targeted positioning algorithms, and micron camera systems, it has solved one material sorting problem after another, and its products have been iteratively upgraded. At present, Meiya color sorters have been widely used in the intelligent sorting of nearly 500 kinds of materials, covering various cereal crops, miscellaneous grains, roasted nuts, medicinal crops, and ores.

From daring to be the first and setting sail with dreams to focusing on identification, struggling to rise to re-listing and setting sail for the second time, the development of Meiya has mainly gone through three stages. The most significant milestone is that in January 2012, Meiya Optoelectronics Cone Beam CT (CBCT) obtained the national medical equipment license, breaking the monopoly of developed countries in dental CBCT for many years.

Yue Lei, sales director of Meiya Optoelectronics Medical, introduced that Meiya has taken the lead in the domestic color sorter market by virtue of its first-mover advantage in coloring sorting machines and the good reputation of its products. During the inspection of the international market, the company came into contact with the field of international high-end dental medical imaging equipment. It believed that this would be a new blue ocean, so it invested a lot of manpower and material resources in research and development, and finally successfully filled the blank of China’s oral CBCT independent innovation.

With the advent of the wave of digitalization, Meiya Optoelectronics continues to upgrade products using cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms. At the same time, in order to ensure product quality, Meiya Optoelectronics vigorously promotes product engineering. The company has built two smart factories, introduced multiple automated and unmanned production lines, and a flexible assembly workshop for complete machines to ensure consistent product quality.
