Hirschstein. Strangers cheated on a Heydaerin (51) via Messenger on Tuesday afternoon. The perpetrators reported with an unknown number and pretended to be the 51-year-old’s daughter. They claimed to have a new cell phone. They then asked the woman to settle an invoice by bank transfer. This he complied with and transferred 2,200 euros to an unknown account. Only when she later had contact with her real daughter did she become aware of the fraud. (SZ)

Jewelry and cash stolen from home

Coswig. In recent days, unknown persons broke into an apartment on Hirtenweg. The perpetrators first tried to force open the apartment’s front door. When that failed, they gained access through a balcony door and searched the room. They stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and cash.
