Without insurance, but with alcohol on the road

Lampertswalde. Police officers from the Großenhain station checked the 22-year-old on Saturday morning at around 12:30 a.m. on the K 8511, where he was traveling between Weißig am Raschütz and Oelsnitz. It turned out that the man was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. A breathalyzer test showed a value of over 1.3 per mille. In addition, a rapid drug test reacted positively to cannabis, cocaine and amphetamines. The e-scooter used was also not insured. The officers ordered a blood sample from the German and filed the corresponding reports. (kj)

Meissen. Police officers from the Meißen police station arrested a 44-year-old German man on Sunday evening at around 8:30 p.m. after causing property damage. Meissen. A 46-year-old was driving his Hyundai Ioniq on Talstrasse in Meißen towards the city on Sunday afternoon. He hit a Ford Fiesta parked on the side of the road and caused property damage amounting to around 5,000 euros. There were no injuries. When the police were recording the accident, they noticed that the 46-year-old smelled of alcohol. A blood alcohol test showed a blood alcohol level of around 0.5 per mille.
