Meghan Markle wins lawsuit against paparazzi who photographed Archie

Meghan Markle sued Splash News and Picture Agency after being photographed while on a walk with her son Archie. The photographs were taken with drones, so the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision to start fighting for their privacy.

The demand

Prince Harry’s wife said that the paparazzi had been prowling around their home to identify access points. One of Markle’s spokesmen gave his opinion on the dukes’ decision. “This resolution is a clear example that the invasive and illegal behavior of the paparazzi will not be tolerated, and the couple takes this matter very seriously, just like any other family would,” he said.

The duchess revealed that the images were not of public interest and that was the reason that made her upset, as it was a family outing. Furthermore, the snapshots caused astonishment as they were taken while Prince Harry was in Britain.

An excellent deal

Fortunately, it was possible to reach a successful conclusion in which both agencies agreed not to photograph them again. The agreement was made at a remote hearing, where Judge Nicklin released the statement regarding Meghan’s privacy and data protection. “The administrators of Splash UK have committed that, in the event that the entity leaves the administration, Splash UK will not take photographs of the Duke and Duchess or their son in the future,” he mentioned.

Undoubtedly, the couple has managed to show that they will do whatever is necessary to defend their privacy, since on different occasions they have made it clear that they are not willing to tolerate invasive behavior by the media.
