Meghan Markle was photographed protected by former US President Barack Obama’s bodyguard.
She was sheltered by the burly Christopher Sanchez over the weekend while at the Invictus Games, The Sun reports exclusively on Monday, April 18.
It comes as Harry sues the government after his armed Metropolitan Police guards were withdrawn when the couple abandoned royal duty to live in the US.
Prince Harry walked out of the Service of Thanksgiving for Prince Philip at Westminster Abbey last month, citing his growing security concerns.
The Duke insists he “doesn’t feel safe enough” to bring his family to the UK.
Sanchez, a former Secret Service agent, has spent five years protecting Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Sanchez has spent 21 years in national security protecting the rich and famous.
He is the director of Professional Protection and Investigations in Texas, which says that “high-profile individuals today are facing unprecedented risks that require not only immediate protection on the ground, but also a high level of planning, coordination and management of security”.
The Sussexes have signed a £113m deal with Netflix, which is filming a documentary on the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry, honor wounded, injured and sick service men and women through April 22.
