Finding Freedom has fallen short of expectations Harry e Meghan Markle, at least from a sales point of view. In fact, it seems that the decisive biography that should have revealed how things really went between the Sussex and Kate Middleton, William and the rest of the Royal Family did not arouse great interest.
Last spring the announcement of Finding Freedom, the book written independently and without the collaboration of Harry and Meghan, by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, had shaken the Palace, promising burning revelations that would put the court in a bad light for the way it treated Lady Markle and consequently his spouse that they would feel obliged to leave the Royal Family as the only solution to their problems.
Many accusations have been made against the Palace, such as that of having used “two weights and two measures” against Kate and Meghan, where the former has always been defended from media attacks, while the latter would have been left at the mercy of her fate without no intervention by the Monarchy. Other details concern the relationship between the two sisters-in-law and between William e Harry. The first accused of trying to dissuade his brother from marrying Meg.
In short, a series of details on the Windsors that should have attracted the attention of readers from all over the world. But the biography released in August 2020 did not arouse the desired interest. Not only that, even before it hit bookshelves, the price had already been lowered. And now the sales balance has revealed a real flop, at least according to what New Idea reports.
It seems that interest in Finding Freedom ceased immediately after his announcement. Probably everything that was interesting in it had been revealed in advance by the media, causing sales of the book to collapse.
TV presenter and expert in real affairs, Storm Huntley, analyzed the situation by stating on the Jeremy Vine show: “Evidently our interest in Harry and Meghan Markle is waning and our interest in this book is non-existent ”. Confirming that the court gossip about Sussex no longer has a hold in the public, the presenter takes as an example the failure of the book by Samantha Markle, sister of Meghan, recently released by the title, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1. Huntley continues: “Evidently he was thinking of writing a second volume, but his book sadly placed 81st in the American chart.”
For sure, Harry and Meghan didn’t expect such a flop per Finding Freedom that the first day of its publication reached the top for pre-orders, but the enthusiasm of the first moments has died down and is no longer news.
