(ANSA) – LOS ANGELES, LUG 15 – Former Duchess of Essex, Meghan Markle, will create and produce an animated series for Nextflix.
“Pearl”, starring a 12-year-old girl, is inspired by different influential women in history.
The show is part of the deal the royal couple, under the Archewell Productions banner, have with the streaming giant, and this is their production company’s first animated series.
“Like many girls her age, our heroine, Pearl, embarks on a journey of self-discovery, as she tries to overcome the daily difficulties of life,” Markle explained in a statement.
She said she was happy that “Archewell Productions is collaborating with a powerful platform like Netflix and with incredible producers.”
“Together we will create for you the fourth animated series that celebrates extraordinary women in history,” he said.
