Meghan Markle now admits that she did help the authors of her autobiography | Entertainment is

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has had no choice but to rectify before the stakes of a court of law and finally admit that both her husband, Prince Henry of England, and she did help the authors of her biographical book ‘Finding Freedom ‘, which was released in August 2020, in certain tasks related to the “contextualization” of some of the most delicate episodes that are narrated in the play.

It all started a few months ago when the British newspaper Daily Mail appealed to justice to defend the full publication of a letter that the former actress had written to her father, Thomas Markle, asking him to stop talking to the press about her life. That publication, in the opinion of an ordinary court, constituted an obvious excess of her right to information by invading the most private sphere of the Duchess. When arguing its position, the newspaper maintained that Meghan had personally contributed to the public display of her most intimate plane, precisely by collaborating with Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in the writing of the autobiography.

The one who was the protagonist of the series ‘Suits’ vehemently denied any kind of involvement in ‘Finding Freedom’ and reiterated that the work did not have her express authorization or that of Prince Henry. However, the court has continued to investigate this story as a result of the appeals filed by the Daily Mail, and has found the key to the matter by summoning the couple’s then press chief, Jason Knauf, to give testimony and offer as much evidence as he had in his possession.

The publicist has submitted several emails that, indeed, show that both Enrique and Meghan provided the two journalists with various annotations and guidance so that any information about their backgrounds was completely truthful and accurate. “I agree that we must say that we have had nothing to do with this. Likewise, we must offer the appropriate context and history to help the truth come to light,” reads an excerpt from the message that Enrique sent to the quoted Knauf.

Once confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were involved, in one way or another, in the making of ‘Finding Freedom’, Meghan Markle has shared a lengthy statement to apologize for having completely “forgotten” that minor assistance that she provided to the authors of the book. “I apologize to the court for not having recalled those exchanges of information at the time. In no way did he intend to confuse or deceive the court,” says the Duchess in her text. However, Meghan has insisted on the idea that she never authorized the publication of documents as personal as the aforementioned letter she wrote to her father.

“I have always referred to that information about my background as ‘reminders’ that I made to Mr. Knauf, since it is information that he had asked me long ago, since 2016, so that he could better deal with the press to account of my family history. But these data have nothing to do with the detailed and exhaustive accounts that appear in the book, of which the defendant [el Daily Mail] ensures that I wanted them to be in the public domain. Nothing could be further from the truth, “says Meghan Markle.
