Black people are confronted with challenges and restrictions every day that whites never or only very rarely have to deal with. Meghan Markle however, benefited from their black roots in one case. As the Daily Mail reports, Meghan’s African American mother Doria Ragland was the only reason Prince Harry was allowed to marry Meghan, according to the Queen.
Meghan Markle’s African-American roots were welcome with Queen
Aristocrat and Royals– Book author Lady Colin Campbell told the “Daily Mail”that Meghan Markles is of African American descent Queen Elizabeth II. were more than welcome. Campbell even says that Meghan Markle’s “race” was the only thing that spoke for her in the Queen’s eyes. Had Meghan Makle not been a “Person of Color”, they would never have been able to marry Prince Harry. In the Queen’s eyes, “Meghan’s multiracial identity gave the monarchy a reflective yet representative touch of multiculturalism in Britain,” Campbell told The Daily Mail.

Prince Harry shouldn’t have married a divorced Hollywood actress
Had the California-born Meghan Markle not had an African-American mother, it would have been impossible for her to become Harry’s wife. It is obvious that she, as a Hollywood actress who is already divorced, would not be the ideal prince bride for her grandson Harry for the Queen. But the fact that Meghan’s African-American roots alone gave her entry to the British royal family should shock some royal fans.
