In commemoration of second birthday of Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, her proud parents, have shared a new photo of their baby. The image, posted on Archewell’s site, shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son holding balloons at the couple’s Montecito mansion.
Anyone visiting your website will be able to view the image, along with a message asking supporters to help donate money to pay for the anticovid vaccines from disadvantaged countries.
“We have been deeply moved over the past two years to feel the warmth and support of our family in honor of Archie’s birthday. Many of you donate to charities in his name and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service, all with the goodness of your heart. It raises funds for those who need it most and continues to do so in an organic and selfless way. We remain incredibly grateful. “
“We can’t think of a more resonant way to honor our son’s birthday. If we all show up, with compassion for those we know and don’t know, we can have a profound impact.small contribution it can have a ripple effect. “
In the signed statement, published on the website of his foundation Archewell, Harry and Meghan said: ‘We can’t really recover until everyone, everywhere, has equal access to the vaccine.’
“And with that intention, we invite you to contribute everything you can, if you have the means to do so, to bring vaccines to families in the most vulnerable places in the world.”
This is not the only time the Sussexes have tried to help this initiative, as last weekend, Harry appeared with a host of famous names from the world of music, film and politics in “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World de Global Citizen”, a charity performance in aid of the international Covid vaccination effort.
Speaking to a lively crowd of just fully vaccinated guests, the Duke called for the vaccines to be ‘distributed to everyone everywhere’, while also greeting front-line medical workers both at the concert and around the world.
The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William and Kate Middleton have sent good wishes little Archie.
The Royal Family’s official Instagram account topped the birthday greetings this morning with a photo of Harry and Meghan introducing their son to the world at the Castillo de Windsor in May 2019.
Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did the same with photographs taken at the archie’s christening in July 2019.
The happy occasion will undoubtedly be tinged with a touch of sadness for the Royal Family who have not seen Archie in 18 months.
The little boy, who is seventh in line to the throne, was last in the UK in the fall of 2019, before the Sussexes left for Christmas in Canada, with pandemic travel restrictions hampering the visits planned in the meantime.
Congratulations Archie!
