During their stay in the American city, the couple was driven and guarded by a security team, including a former New York police officer who is now the singer’s security chief. Another bodyguard who was seconded to the Royals this weekend is said to have gone by the name of Jimmy and has dealt with stalkers and burglars who broke into Taylor’s home in the past. Another man, around 40 years old, is said to have previously worked for Swift and accompanied her during her appearance at the VMAs in 2019.
It is not known whether the 31-year-old loaned her bodyguards to the Sussexes as a friendly gesture or whether they hired the men themselves through an agency. Furthermore, the “Daily Mail” previously reported that the couple had also been accompanied by an employee of the United States Department of Homeland Security.
