Meghan and Harry visit 9/11 Memorial in New York

At the weekend, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan want to call for a fairer distribution of corona vaccines at a music festival in Central Park in Manhattan. The couple previously visited the memorial for the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) visited the area around the former World Trade Center in New York.

On Thursday, the two posed for photos together with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Kathy Hochul on a viewing platform in the One World Trade Center skyscraper around 400 meters above the metropolis. They also paid a visit to the memorial for the victims.

Afterwards a meeting with the American UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield was on the program. Thomas-Greenfield was delighted to meet the couple on Twitter. They had important discussions about Covid, justice for blacks and minorities and raising awareness for mental health, she wrote and published photos of the conversation.

At the weekend, the couple want to draw attention to the importance of a fairer distribution of vaccines against the coronavirus at a large music festival in Central Park in Manhattan. Harry and Meghan join a huge line-up of stars: Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Shawn Mendes, Usher and the boy group BTS are expected on stage.
