Hasto admitted that he was immediately called to report to Megawati after Airlangga announced his resignation as Golkar president.

Hasto then reviewed that PDIP had experience of intervention during the New Order. He assessed that the aim of the intervention at that time was to weaken democracy, eliminating the principles of party sovereignty.

However, Hasto emphasized that PDIP does not want to interfere in the affairs of other parties.
