Chairman (Ketum) PDIP Megawati Sukarnoputri invited women to win Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. Megawati said that if Ganjar became Indonesia’s leader, he would help those in need from a legal standpoint if they were subjected to violence.
This was stated by Megawati when delivering her remarks at an event titled ‘National Gathering’ which she and Ganjar Pranowo attended. The event coincided with a declaration of support for Ganjar from academics in Yogyakarta.
“I am the General Chairperson of the biggest party now, but I am like a marriage consultant. Until I thought I was actually sopo. Ladies came, grabak-grabak, just said, ‘My husband’s mother is having an affair’. You are like a marriage consultant, you don’t think want to be in the DPR,” Megawati said at the Ganjar volunteer event at Royal Ambarrukmo, Yogyakarta, Tuesday (22/8/2023).

Mega also advised women whose hearts were hurt by men to divorce. According to him, a woman should be able to be independent and have a firm attitude towards herself.
“Then how did you tell her to get divorced. That’s true. You (women) have self-respect, I said. Don’t want to be digitized, don’t want to be digitized. Please, gentlemen, if you really love your mothers, take good care of them Come on, just look at TV, (there is a husband whose) wife is raped, that’s okay anyway,” said Megawati.
“I’m saying this, for sure (there will be bullies) Mrs. Mega is Muslim but not Muslim. Men are priests, women are mothers. I understand that. But I said I had to use a comma, that giving affection gives a good life , a good contract, loving their children, that’s a man’s job too, you know. Not a woman, you know,” he continued.
Mega then spontaneously greeted the mothers who were present to win Ganjar Pranowo. According to him, Ganjar prioritized the case and would provide legal assistance to those in need.
“Ladies, let’s win Mr. Ganjar,” said Megawati which was greeted with applause from the participants.
“Because of course mothers are helped from a legal standpoint,” he concluded.
