Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi is a female volleyball athlete from Indonesia who managed to enter a South Korean club. Megawati’s name became a public topic of conversation after successfully bringing victory to her club called Red Sparks.

Since then, many netizens have been curious about this volleyball player’s personal life. This is no exception regarding Megawati’s income, who works as an athlete.

Launching from the page detikcom, Megawati reportedly received a fantastic salary from Daejeon Cheng Kwan Jang Red Sparks. His salary is known to reach IDR 1.57 billion per year.

After investigating, there are seven new players who joined the Korean Women’s Volleyball League through the first draft of the V League Asian Quarter. This is a new system adopted, so that teams can add additional foreign players to their squad from selected Asian countries.

There are also V League rules that stipulate that each team can only have one foreign player in its squad. However, the Korean Volleyball Association adopted the Asian Quarter system last September to encourage teams to recruit top Asian players at more reasonable rates than South Korean players.

A total of 23 players from six countries, consisting of eight from Thailand, six from the Philippines, three from Japan, three from Indonesia, two from Hong Kong, and one from Taiwan have registered for the draft which took place at the Stanford Hotel Seoul in Mapo District, Seoul. West.

The players recruited are determined by randomly determining the order of selection from the seven V League teams by one official. Daejeon KGC recruits Megawati. It is known that the selected players will receive a salary of 100 thousand US dollars per year or the equivalent of IDR 1.57 billion.

Even though the nominal amount sounds quite large, the amount turns out to be only half of the initial salary of existing foreign players.
