A personal cameraman suing Megan Thee Stallion for claims of sexual harassment and labor code violations

A former personal cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against the popular artist, alleging a hostile work environment and multiple labor code violations. Emilio Garcia, who worked with Megan Thee Stallion from 2018 to 2023, claims that he was subjected to sexual harassment and was wrongfully terminated in retaliation for raising concerns about wage and hour issues.

One of the explicit claims made by Garcia is that he was present in a moving vehicle with Megan Thee Stallion in Ibiza, Spain, in June 2022, when she engaged in sexual contact with another woman right beside him. Garcia describes feeling embarrassed, mortified, and offended throughout the incident.

Garcia also alleges that Megan Thee Stallion made disparaging comments about his weight and contacted him at all hours for TikTok video brainstorming and content editing. He states that he was terminated the night before a scheduled gig after confiding in Pete’s makeup artist about feeling mistreated and considering leaving due to Pete working with another cameraman.

Megan Thee Stallion, her personal and touring companies, as well as Roc Nation, have all been named as defendants in the lawsuit. A representative for the artist has not yet responded to the allegations.

Garcia’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, states that his client is seeking appropriate compensation for the mistreatment he endured and calls for Megan Thee Stallion to take responsibility for her behavior and cease engaging in sexual harassment and fat shaming. Zambrano emphasizes that exposing such behavior to employees is illegal.

New Pay Structure Led to Decreased Compensation

Garcia’s lawsuit reveals that he initially received a monthly flat rate of $4,000 to work with Megan Thee Stallion through Roc Nation and Stallion Entertainment. However, after the Ibiza trip, he claims his pay structure was changed to a pay-per-task rate. This new system required him to submit invoices for each assignment, resulting in significantly less compensation that he felt didn’t accurately reflect his true time and effort invested in the work.

Uncomfortable in Spain

Garcia described feeling frozen and shocked during the alleged incident in Spain. He expressed his discomfort and disbelief at the audacity of the situation, with Megan The Stallion engaging in sexual contact right beside him in the car.
