The Belgian actress who crawled into Mega Mindy’s pink suit for 15 years, is putting an end to it. From the beginning of the TV series, Free Souffriau played the role of policewoman Mieke and her secret alter ego, the flying superheroine Mega Mindy.
“Mega Mindy’s 15th anniversary got me thinking and I’d like to do a lot of other things,” Souffriau told the GARDEN.
The Studio 100 series was no longer on TV. Mega Mindy was on the children’s channel from 2006 to 2013 chain net of the VRT. In the Netherlands, the series was broadcast by TROS. Four feature films have also been made, the last of which was released in 2015.
Theater shows
Souffriau played the role of Mega Mindy in theater shows that were also shown in the Netherlands. Those theater shows continue, but with a different actress. Studio 100 will announce who that will be later.
And Mindy’s good friend Mega Toby? It will also continue to be seen in the theater shows, but actor of the first hour Louis Talpe already stopped in 2015.
