A Staten Island resident woke up this morning a millionaire after matching five of the winning numbers in the Mega Millions, which make him worth a million dollars, according to press reports.
However, no one won the jackpot, so the total for the next draw exceeds one billion dollars (one thousand 25 million).
This is the third time in the history of this lottery that the jackpot exceeds one billion dollars, after in thirteen consecutive draws no one matched all six winning numbers.
