New York – A lottery ticket from a pizza parlor in the middle of Manhattan has given one lucky guy a profit of $ 432 million. The ticket was the only one to have all six winning numbers correct, announced the organizers of the Mega Millions lottery on Wednesday.
The initially unknown winner can now either have $ 315 million paid out in cash – the amount is lower due to applicable taxes – or choose to pay the winnings in installments.
Biggest jackpot $ 1.5 billion
“I’m excited for this guy and wish I could be myself,” said pizza stall owner David Khiralla, a local New York station.
As recently as January, a group of players in the state of Michigan had won around one billion dollars – the second-highest win in the history of the Mega Millions lottery. The biggest jackpot of this lottery to date was received by a tipper from the state of South Carolina in October 2018 – $ 1.537 billion.
