Mega Image could become the leader of the retail market in Romania, following the 1.3 billion euro transaction for the Profi store network, according to financial data from 2022. Thus, according to financial data from 2022, Mega Image (8.7 billion lei) and Profi (11.7 billion lei) would have accumulated business of 20.4 billion lei. Lidl, which is currently the leader of the retail market in Romania, had a turnover of 18.5 billion lei in 2022. Last year the next top company was Kaufland, with 16 billion lei in business.

Also, Mega Image could become a leader on the local market in terms of the number of employees, but also the number of stores.
Profi had 13,714 employees last year, while Mega Image had 10,618 employees. Thus, the two companies could together have more than 24,000 employees. The largest retail employer in 2022 counts Kaufland, with 13,827 employees.
At the same time, Mega Image could also become the leader in terms of the number of owned stores, in total more than 2,600 stores. Mega Image currently has 969 stores, while Profi has a network of over 1,650 stores throughout Romania.
