Mayor of Cilegon Helldy Agustian met the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. Helldy said he explained the controversial case against the construction of the HKBP Maranatha church in Cilegon.
“Thank you, thank God, please help us so that the confusion on the problem of the building plan of the church in Cilegon City can be resolved together, because we have clarified directly to the Minister of Religions, and together we have a meeting,” he said at the Office of the Ministry of Religion, Jalan Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (9/14/2022).
Helldy said the request for the church building plan had not yet reached the government of the city of Cilegon. She said the question was still being processed by the village.
