Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden will meet face-to-face and in an expanded format in Washington.
The meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden will take place on August 31 in Washington. About it stated Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on Thursday, August 19.
Earlier it was reported that the meeting will take place on August 30.
“In connection with the expansion of the elements of the visit program, the meeting of the heads of state of Ukraine and the United States, Presidents Biden and Zelensky will take place on August 31,” Kuleba said at an online briefing.
It is known that an expanded format is provided, as well as a tete-a-tete meeting. Zelensky will also visit the state of California.
Kuleba added that the events in Afghanistan did not change the plans for Zelensky’s visit to the United States.
“What is happening in Afghanistan now can affect everything. But as of now, we have no indicators that these events in any way negatively affect the preparation and implementation of the visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States,” he summed up Kuleba.
Recall that earlier in the OP voiced expectations from the Zelensky-Biden meeting… Zelensky and Biden will sign a number of partnership documents in the United States, in particular, in the defense and space spheres, the OP said.
