This new agenda for health in the European Region will be presented to Member States for adoption in October 2025.
The first European Work Program 2020-2025 – “A united action for better health” coordinates efforts around 3 fundamental priorities: progress towards universal health coverage, protection against health emergencies and promoting health and well-being.
Accelerating the implementation of One Health and working together to combat violence against women and girls are other health themes on the meeting’s agenda. of the PCR.
The following aspects will also be addressed: the acceleration of the achievement of the sustainable development goals at the regional and national levels, the consolidation of data and statistics for sustainable development, the shrinking of the space granted to civil society throughout the Region, collaboration with the European Union, and strengthening the role of the Regional Support Group to ensure technical coordination and quality assurance with United Nations country teams.
