Already the 37th edition for this unique festival! Gala, pony race, fair: 5 days to discover all the magic of the equestrian arts at the Avignon exhibition center.

2023 is off to a great start with Passion for horses 2023. With more than 1,000 horses, 90,000 expected visitors, 10,000 m2 of stands, 800 breeders, 130 competitors and 80 hours of entertainmentit’s a ′′ pre-covid ′′ edition that we’ll find again this year.

It is the unmissable appointment of Horse Passion. The horse show, whose reputation is second to none, will amaze young and old alike. Mastery of dressage, breathtaking acrobatics, original choreography, the Manes of O Galar shows all the diversity of equestrian art. During a show, riders and horses become one. A moving and impressive teamwork.

This year, light on European equestrian art with the presence of artists and companies from all over the continent: Cordoba Ecuestre and its Andalusian horses, the Italian masters of dressage Gianluca and Sofia Bacioia and finally Belgium represented by Delphine Boonkens. Then, space for French talent with stuntmen Jérôme Sefer and Kevin Ferreira, the stunt riders of Nagaïka Tribe. The duo Marie Barcelo and Pierre-Antoine Chastang, the company La Caresse du Cheval and the young Lysiane Moerschel.

The other scene of Horse Passion : the equestrian cabaret… Here, many equestrian show talent have been released to the public. It is in the heart of room K, for a lunch, a coffee break or a simple stop, that you can admire the artists performing on the dance floor.

Young racers also have their place in the front row with the competition Pony passion. This important system, monitored by the French Equestrian Federation and National Education, grows every year at Cheval Passion.

For this 37^th editing, 7 pony clubs they will each present a show that they have imagined and worked on for several months with their members under the age of 18. On Wednesday 18 January at 2.00 pm, 200 children and teenagers will be judged at the end of their performance. Only one pony club and its representatives will be selected the opening of the Golden Manes gala Sunday 22 January at 3.00pm

It was in 1986 that Horse Passion was created. The objective was therefore to accompany the practice of equestrian sport then in full swing at the time. Despite a decline in the number of riders between 2013 and 2021, the equestrian discipline has been gaining momentum for a year now. Horse riding is today the third French sports federation by number of members and is also the top women’s sport!

Horse Passion with his 250 exhibitors therefore it has its part to play in this popular leisure activity among the French. Every year the event offers a range of equipment, products and means useful to riders and their horses. Cheval Passion is also a showcase for latest news and the innovations taking place in France and throughout Europe.
