His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with a number of representatives of Jewish organizations, on the sidelines of the seventy-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting discussed a group of issues of common interest, files on the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly, the current situation in the Middle East region, and ways to enhance its security and stability for the good of its people. His Highness condemned the irresponsible statements made by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas regarding the Jews and the Nazi Holocaust. He explained the importance of the values of tolerance and human brotherhood in the UAE’s approach to building peaceful and prosperous societies, pointing out the UAE’s rejection of hate speech and extremism in all its forms, contempt of religions, racism and racial discrimination.
The meeting was attended by the UAE Ambassador to the United States of America, Yousef Manea Al Otaiba.
