State Secretary Antony J. Blinken today met Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels. Secretary Blinken affirmed the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of continued Russian aggression. The secretary expressed concern over Russia’s deliberate actions aimed at escalating tensions with Ukraine, including through aggressive rhetoric and disinformation, increasing ceasefire violations and movements of soldiers in occupied Crimea and near the borders of Ukraine. Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Kuleba discussed the importance of advancing the rule of law and economic reforms to strengthen Ukraine’s institutions, support anti-corruption measures corruption and promote its aspirations for Euro-Atlantic integration.
