CONAKRY- The President of the Guinean Football Federation, Aboubacar Sampil, and Mamadou Antonio Souaré, former president of the federation and owner of Horoya AC, met this Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Kaloum in the presence of Mamadou Hann Diallo, member of the new Executive Committee (COMEX).
This meeting is part of efforts aimed at easing tensions and bringing together stakeholders in Guinean football, an initiative launched by the new COMEX elected on January 6, 2024. Several topics were discussed during this meeting, including approval of the General Lansana Conté Stadium. Bouba Sampil deemed it necessary to discuss this subject with Antonio Souaré, concessionaire of the said stadium. Together, they explored the different solutions to undertake for the stadium to be approved, thus allowing our national teams to play their matches in Conakry.
Furthermore, the discussion also focused on the index of Guinean football in Africa. The two personalities stressed the importance of working hand in hand to improve this index, in order to raise Guinean football to a higher level. The President of Féguifoot and the owner of Horoya left with the promise of meeting regularly to discuss the development of Guinean football.
Bouba Sampil, President of the FGF plans to meet soon with other club presidents, to continue discussions on the development of Guinean football.
