The Art of Perfumery: A Journey of Freedom and Expression
When Voxel first delved into the world of perfumery, little did he know that it would become not just a passion, but a second profession. What started as a casual exploration of scents and aromas soon blossomed into a full-fledged love affair with the art of creating fragrances.
His journey into perfumery was not just about mixing different scents, but about creating an illusion of a new reality through the harmonious blend of twenty different ingredients. It was a process of freedom and expression, much like the unconventional approach he and his wife took towards their relationship.
Embracing Polyamory: A Different Kind of Love
Before the birth of their daughter, Voxel and his wife openly embraced polyamory, a relationship dynamic that allowed for absolute freedom, love, and understanding between partners. They chose not to possess each other, but to celebrate individuality and mutual respect.
Their decision to explore polyamory was influenced by Voxel’s relationship with Jan Kymlika, which was publicly shared on social media. While the relationship eventually ended, it opened up new possibilities for understanding love beyond societal norms of ownership and possessiveness.
Exploring New Horizons
As Voxel continues to craft perfumes that evoke emotions and memories, he also delves into the world of creating scents for candles and diffusers. His passion for fragrances goes beyond just the sense of smell, as he experiments with unconventional ingredients like excrement or civet musk.
For Voxel, being a perfumer is not just about creating scents, but about pushing boundaries and challenging perceptions. It is a journey of self-discovery and artistic expression that mirrors the complexities of human relationships and the essence of true freedom.
As Voxel navigates the intricate world of perfumery, he not only creates fragrances but also challenges societal norms and expectations. His story is a testament to the power of love, freedom, and self-expression in a world that often seeks to confine us within rigid boundaries.
Through his art, Voxel invites us to explore new horizons, embrace diversity, and celebrate the beauty of individuality in all its forms.
And in the delicate balance of scents and emotions, we find a reflection of our own journey towards self-discovery and authenticity.
Voxel: A Unique Life in the Heart of Hrubý Jeseník
Living with his five-member family in a remote area near Praděd in Hrubý Jeseník, Voxel’s life is far from the typical hustle and bustle of city living. There’s no signal, no store, no pub, no church, just nature. There’s only one elderly lady living nearby and another family at the other end, about two kilometers away. And that’s about it.
Aside from his music, Voxel has also delved into the world of perfumery professionally. It all started when a friend of his wife, who practices aromatherapy and massage, introduced him to the art of perfumery. “She had about two hundred bottles with her,” he recalls.
“I took a step back and started mixing scents like jasmine, cedar, and more. And I fell in love with it! My wife noticed my interest and paid for my first workshop. So, I gradually delved deeper into it, and now it’s become my second job,” he explains.
On demand, Voxel not only creates perfumes but also scents for candles and diffusers. “I enjoy scents, but what I love even more is creating fragrances, although it can be challenging as it all depends on how the scents blend together. I’m not afraid to use even the smell of excrement or civet musk,” he adds.
“The work of a perfumer involves
