Meet Tiu Hyun Hong: Vietnam’s Mother Teresa, Bringing Hope to Orphans

There is a Mother Teresa in Vietnam! Have you heard of Tiu Hyun Hong, who is giving a new life to tens of thousands of orphans? Despite the pains of cancer, Tiu Hyun is dedicated to caring for the needy.

Rejected by her parents within days of her birth, she had to live anyway. For that she had to walk the paths where death lurks. She started walking through places no one would ever want to reach and had to climb into dark places where werewolves and werewolves lurked. They carved not only her body but also her mind. At an age when she didn’t know eight and a half, she got mad not once, but many times. Thrown into the red street, those who devoured her life had no face. Her mind and body were frozen and she became a friend of drugs. In the end she decided, enough life. But that was not her mission.

This is the life of Tiu Huynh Hong, whom the world calls the ‘Vietnamese Mother Teresa’. She is now the mother of many orphans. Through Qu Huong Charity Center, she gave them back not only life, but also colorful dreams. Devoting her life to orphaned children for more than thirty years, she has taken hundreds of babies by the hand to the beauty of the colorful world. She is spreading the thread of light with her life which is so far from the present world without light.

Dismissal revealed by the commission!

The miseries of her life started the day she was born. Not knowing who her parents are or where she was born, she knows that she has been thrown away at an early age to suck up their love and affection without fail. Instead of breast milk, she got ridicule and torture. Her orphanhood was growing with her. Her childhood interests did not stop and she got caught by gangsters and drug mafia. What can a poor orphan girl do? She became a sex worker. Finally thinking that this world is not for her, she jumped into a river to end her life, but her mission was different.

She was sixteen years old. Wanting to change her life, she traveled from Mien Dong to Saigon. There, a bus driver named Hyuna Wan took Tiu Hyun Hong home after listening to her story. His wife was also very fond of her, but their children could not accommodate her. She had to leave within days. Anna did not realize that the expulsion was a stepping stone to her appointment.

She settled in a single-room house on the outskirts of Saigon. I will do whatever work I get during the day. One morning she opened her eyes to the incessant crying of a baby outside her room. Someone left a baby girl at the door of her room! She added the baby to her life as her sister and named her Ann Dao.

‘Chao Li’ Made by God

Later were the days of hard work. She is ready to work in more places. Meanwhile, he had to go through many painful experiences. She had gained the strength to face everything. He also found time to learn Chinese in his free time during work. This led to her getting a job as a tourist guide. There God had a miracle in store for her, in the form of a Chinese man named Chao Li! After learning about Tiu Hyun Hong’s life from her, he helps her to rent an apartment and adopt An Dao.

With the money she received from him, she started running small businesses and gradually became a real estate agent. By succeeding there as well, she was able to step onto the path of normal life. In 1993, she joined the Vietnamese Relief Association and became the face of compassion for the destitute and abandoned elderly. People started calling her ‘Mother’ who became food for the poor and medicine for the sick.

‘Mother’ who doesn’t mind cancer

In 2001, she started the Qu Huong Charity Foundation. Apart from Vietnam, she soon became the ‘mother’ of the helpless in Cambodia, the Philippines and America. Over the past 30 years, Tiu Hyun Hong has rehabilitated thousands of orphans, differently-abled children and the elderly. Tiu Huynh Hong has received many accolades and accolades, such as Steel Rose, Woman Who Moves Vietnam’s Hearts, Angel of the Common People, and World Charity Ambassador.

In the meantime, though she was diagnosed with cancer, it did not affect their ministry in any way and continued to extend her helping hand to thousands. She insists that even a person who approaches her for help and support should not go back disappointed even when pain and difficulties of treatment are bothering her. They shed the light of hope and become a light to many with only one prayer that they may continue this till the end of their lives.
