Meet the neighborhood

Our neighbors, located near the site of the future hospital, were eager to learn more about the progress of the project. About thirty participants attended, on December 10, the presentation offered by Vincent Veilleux, director of the PHVS within the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest, and Paul Mayrand, director general of the PHVS project office, at the Société québécoise des infrastructure.

The group in question, made up of entrepreneurs, traders as well as residents, therefore obtained information on the progress of the project and on future work on the road network, in particular in anticipation of the start of construction. The objective of the meeting is to create an atmosphere conducive to discussion, to answer questions and to hear concerns about the arrival of the hospital.

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital Project concerns the entire population, particularly those located near the site where the hospital will be set up; Meeting them upstream of the construction went without saying, and is part of our consultation process, supported by a spirit of daring, collaboration and commitment. In the same vein, note the establishment, since 2018, of several committees, such as the neighborhood committee and the infrastructure committee, or the transition committee which has just been created, the round of consultation tables. of the territory, started in 2019, and our workshops which, since the start of the project, have involved field experts, professionals from various disciplines, doctors, employees and resource users.

The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest project team wishes to create links now with the community that will host the future hospital center.

It should be remembered that the start of the construction site is scheduled for 2022, once the Contractor will be selected, and will run until 2026. The gradual opening of services will begin at this time.
