During the event of Overwatch League grand finaleBlizzard has chosen to reveal a new character who will take on the role of tank in the near future. Known as Ramattra, he will be the new hero of Overwatch 2 arriving very soon. Ramattra is essentially an omnic terrorist, serving as the leader of the evil Null Sector group, which in turn serves as an ally of Overwatch’s enemy faction Talon and in which Doomfist is located.
Ramattra has a history connected with the support hero Zenyatta, and in fact they consider themselves “siblings“. But while Zenyatta hopes to achieve a peaceful existence for omnics and humans, Ramattra has been radicalized by the atrocities of humanity and wants to violently rid the omnic people of him. While no Ramattra gameplay was shown in the source trailer, Blizzard highlighted some details about the hero. One of Ramattra’s distinctive abilities will be the power to transform into his enormous form of “Nemesis“. This will greatly expand Ramattra’s size and power and, in particular, will give you access to a new skill set that you don’t have access to in the default module. Blizzard compared Ramattra’s transformation to the hero of damage Bastionwhich means it works like a skill and has a reload timer.
