Linda Lukstiņa is the owner of the design stationery company “Manilla”. There are currently two stores operating under the “Manilla” brand in Latvia, and the business will celebrate its tenth birthday in August this year.
On the other hand, the first franchise store in Italy was opened last year, in Milan.
Linda’s passion has brought her to this business. She admits that, although she has started, she has never finished writing the business plan for “Manilla” and also often makes decisions relying directly on her inner feeling and intuition.

Tell the most important thing about yourself as a person in the Latvian business environment.
To be honest, I have never looked at myself from this point of view. I do what I like, I have created a small, tasteful and cozy oasis around me, where I can enjoy my everyday life and profit from it at the same time. However, I don’t have a personal goal of constantly growing or earning more, I enjoy this process and feel satisfied as a small business manager.
What are the current events in your company and industry?
The increase in prices in the country also affects the shopping habits of customers in all product segments, and since we do not offer basic necessities, we need to think more about appealing to customers and getting them interested.
