SCHIEDAM – Would you like to come into contact with people who may have the same hobby as you, or would you like to learn something new, together with other peers? Then participating in a so-called ‘visit club’ of the Frankeland group maybe something for you!
The Frankelandgroep organizes visiting clubs especially for seniors living independently in Schiedam and Vlaardingen: these are small-scale, fixed groups of a maximum of ten participants who meet once a week; for example to practice a joint hobby and/or to get acquainted with new leisure activities. All this under the guidance of enthusiastic and involved volunteers who have the necessary qualities to take care of the (sometimes vulnerable) seniors.
There are also specific visiting clubs that focus on relaxation, appropriate exercise activities and exchanges with fellow sufferers, such as visiting clubs for seniors with beginning memory problems and the visiting club for people with Parkinson’s disease. Especially for this target group, it is nice to get together at fixed times and to catch your breath.
