And the massacre could continue at a rapid pace. WHO estimates that by 2030, “diabetes will be the seventh leading cause of death in the world”. The transformation of our lifestyles, over-food and the sedentarization of our Western societies have led to a constantly growing global pandemic. According to Public Health France, more than 3.5 million people were treated for diabetes in 2019. By 2040, the WHO estimates that the Earth will have nearly 640 million diabetics.
