Martine Baars is an associate professor in educational psychology at the Department of Psychology, Education, and Child Studies (DEPCS) at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).

Her research focuses on self-regulated learning, self-monitoring, cognitive load and learning strategies. Her research focuses on supporting self-regulated learning in primary, secondary and higher education and the role of technological support in this.

Martine Baars is affiliated with EUR’s Community for Learning and Innovation (CLI) and with the Center for Education and Learning (CEL) in the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus (LDE) alliance.
