Meet Digital Marilyn Monroe Created with Artificial Intelligence at South by Southwest Conference

More than 60 years after the death of Marilyn Monroe, fans and fans of the American icon will meet a digital version of her that was prepared with the help of artificial intelligence at the “South by Southwest” technology conference, on Friday, in Austin, Texas.

The digital version, called Digital Marilyn, appears on a computer screen wearing a black shirt with her familiar blonde hairstyle, and speaks in her familiar whispering voice. She will also be able to express her feelings, such as smiling in response to receiving a compliment.

In a recent experiment, Digital Marilyn identified her favorite movie role as the character Sugar in the 1959 comedy Some Like It Hot, after she paused for a while and looked down in thought before answering.

She stated that she finds the character exciting and vulnerable at the same time “a difficult role, but it is worth the effort.” I also recommended watching other comedies, such as “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” and “Men Prefer Blondes.”

Soul Machines, an artificial intelligence company that specializes in designing realistic digital characters, designed Digital Marlin in partnership with AuthenticBrands Group.
