Much discussed, commented on, criticized, and not necessarily for the best reasons, the series The United States of Captain America is finally upon us. The title follows the walk of Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson across the United States: after the theft of the famous shield with the starry motif, the two heroes set off on the trail of the person in charge, and are about to find on their way a whole bunch of characters inspired by the patriotic vigilante.

With this mini-series, Christopher Cantwell and Dale Eaglesham propose to cut out the legacy of Captain America on a series of characters less representative of the hero standard Marvel usual. Heroes of various colors, origins and sexual orientations, less Caucasian or heteronormous, but united by the same love of the flag. Most of them have already been presented by the publisher, who has decided to communicate loud and clear on this series which also serves as a buffer for Captain America while waiting for a new one ongoing.-
