How do you rate the draw match?
For us, it was again mainly about interplay. We focus on putting the team together and working as a team. The result is not completely optimal for us, we are interested, but it is not so important. It was important for us that the players tried to follow the instructions we gave us before the match. It will definitely take a while for the players to experience the new automatisms, so I would also ask the fans to be a little more lenient, because we have a brand new team. But I believe we will put it together quickly and we will be ready for the start of the league.
You competed against Blansko with two forwards, will it also be a variant of competitive matches?
It looks more like names, because Rabušic and Júsuf are attackers, but we have the way of playing in that attacking pair a little different than that it is for the classic two attackers. Our offensive players have their tasks, they try to fulfill them, but as I said, it will take a while for it to settle down.
Due to the coronavirus situation, some teams chose exclusively home preparation, why did you plan a training camp in Austria?
We clearly preferred to be able to leave Liberec, because it is also about unsportsmanlike things. The new boys will get to know each other better from the human point of view together in this way. Everyone who came tries to fit into the team and a new cabin chemistry is being formed in Austria, and since then the long-term training camps are always common. What is done here will clearly be transferred to the matches. And what we did last season, I think that above standard, was mainly due to the team spirit, everyone worked for each other and I believe that we can do this in the new season.
The players were given a break in the preparation, how important is it to harmonize the fitness load with the game in the shorter preparation?
It is clear that the players now have those legs a bit sore in the matches, but I think we are already such an experienced coaching team that we can evaluate when it is necessary to relax a bit. But players must feel that the pain is part of it.
The leading Austrian team Rapid Vienna is waiting for you in Saturday’s general, is it an ideal opponent for the last test?
Of course. It is good that we will have a tough opponent, I think Rapid is clearly him and the confrontation with Austrian football will definitely benefit us. It should take place at the main stadium of Rapid, so it will have its atmosphere, although of course without spectators. For both teams, this will be the last match before the start of the season, so we are expecting a quality match on both sides. We will try to get the elements we want from the team, and at the end of the training we would like to show a performance that would satisfy us, the players and our fans, if they have the opportunity to watch the match somewhere.
