“Traitors” who hate Russia should be seen as enemies of society. These people should be cut off from sources of income and not allowed to enter Russia until the end of their days, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said today, quoted by TASS, BTA reported.
“Traitors who hate their country so much,
the fact that they call for his defeat and destruction must be regarded as hostis publicus, a public enemy. Regardless of the legal qualification of their actions. As enemies of the state, enemy of the state, as their favorite American equivalent says”Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel. He stressed that they absolutely must be given such a definition even if there are no administrative or criminal proceedings against these citizens.
Furthermore, according to the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, “such people until the end of their days should not be allowed to return to Russia”.
“They must be completely cut off from sources of income in our country, whatever they may have been. Such a situation, where traitors who wish their own country’s defeat, in parallel, profit in Russia, is immoral and must be terminated a once and for all,” he stressed.
Medvedev noted that “after tragedies, history often repeats itself like a farce.”
and added that more than 100 years ago, the “extra-system opponents” of the time strongly desired the defeat of their homeland in the First World War. “The result was the collapse of the empire, two revolutions and a bloody civil war that claimed the lives of 17 million people of different political views,” she stressed.
