Medvedev threatened Sweden and Finland with the consequences of joining NATO

If Sweden and Finland join NATO, Russia will become more officially registered adversaries, Medvedev says.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened Sweden and Finland because of their intention to join NATO. The ex-president of the Russian Federation said that if the countries join the Alliance, “there will be more officially registered opponents in Russia.”

He wrote about this in Telegram.

According to Medvedev, in this case, Russia will strengthen the northern border: “seriously strengthen the grouping of ground forces and air defense, deploy significant naval forces in the Gulf of Finland. be restored”.

Medvedev also claims that Sweden and Finland would be called to NATO, regardless of whether Russia would start a war in Ukraine or not.
