MediSalud: Free Consultations
The strong point was the free consultations, where individuals and entire families took the opportunity to have their respective medical check-ups.
Zurita, in charge of diabetes screening and nutritional review, highlighted the amount of obesity, excessive consumption of sausages and added sugar consumed by the citizen.
“In the nutritional review, we take weight, height and age and correlate it to make a basic diagnosis to see if people are underweight or obese,” he said.
He also showed concern about the pattern of meal times, which most tend to eat outside the recommended times.
“We have seen how people eat a lot or eat little. But, above all, we see that they are eating after hours”, she emphasized.
Hypertension and diabetes plus the most common pathologies in consultation
For her part, Dr. Pérez, an internist, stressed that the most outstanding pathologies in the consultations were hypertension and diabetes, in addition to others such as gastritis, irritated colon and related to the spine.
Regarding breast cancer screening, the Fued specialist attended 30 patients between the ages of 27 and 60 to control them, where there were no abnormalities.
To close, MediSalud with the support of the Novagen laboratory, also carried out biochemical tests on the first 20 people, where they gave away the blood glucose test.
MediSalud for the community
Adriana Montes de Oca, pharmacist and founder, together with her husband of MediSalud, was satisfied with the good reception and confirmed that they will continue to hold events throughout the year.
“We constantly plan to carry out activities of this type to help the community,” said Montes de Oca.
Regarding the future, he announced that for the next day he wants to incorporate pediatric consultations and continue working in the pharmacy plus consultations.
