Mediobanca, profit in the nine months rises by 20%. Nagel: “Excellent results”

In the first nine months of the financial year, Mediobanca recorded group revenues growing by 9% to 2.6 billion and a net profit of 946 million (+20%). The bank will distribute an interim dividend of 0.51 euros per share to shareholders by June.

“The Group has launched the Plan initiatives positively, achieving excellent results in terms of value-oriented and low capital absorption growth. In the last quarter we had very encouraging feedback from customers and bankers in Mediobanca Premier, we saw the revitalization of the ‘Investment Banking also fueled by new international activities, we maintained the solid value path in Consumer and Insurance.” This is the comment of Alberto Nagel, CEO of Mediobanca, on the group’s accounts. “With approximately 950 million net profit in the 9 months and a ROTE of over 13%, the Group is positioned at the best sector levels, with the main businesses well positioned in the macroeconomic context and dedicated to achieving the new strategic initiatives of the “One Brand- One Culture” he added.
