It is in medieval times that the Hôtel Départemental des Expositions (HDE) and the CGR Chabran take the Dracénois this Saturday!
In the shoes of copyist monks, children and adults will be able to discover Caroline writing through games and activities in Chabran. A presentation of the historical origin of this calligraphy by exposing the instruments and writing materials.
In addition, the speakers and animators present on site will explain the purpose of the installation by Charlemagne of the tiny caroline.
Finally, it is with the help of a calligraphic pen and different models that young and old can learn to write the letters and first names of each in this ancient calligraphy.
The HDE wishes to create a link with their exhibition “Treasures of the Kingdom of Lotharingia, the heritage of Charlemagne”, by offering activities relating to the Middle Ages.
The CGR Chabran will therefore host the workshop on Saturday 22/07, 26/08 and 30/09 and participants will be able to benefit from a free snack.

Moreover, in addition to the workshop and the snack, the projection of a cartoon will be offered at the end of the morning.
While remaining in a period theme, the film Brendan and the secret of Kells (2009) is presented to Dracénois.
