Through the Ministry of Health (Minsa), we have incorporated medicines for the treatment of this disease into the list of generics that should be compulsory in the country’s pharmacies, “said the president.

At the end of 2019, the “Generic Drugs Act” was enacted, which included the medicines Azithromycin, Paracetamol and Dexamethasone, which serve as a treatment for the coronavirus and are rare in their generic version.

The new government provision will add medicines for COVID -19 to the current list of 31 mandatory generics. With which it is sought that the prices of medicines fall in price.

Likewise, it was established that pharmacies that do not comply with the measure will be fined up to S / 8,600, as provided by the norm.

The Council of Ministers will debate an Emergency Decree to guarantee that coronavirus patients access medicines in the health system.
