The national government delivered 15,380 units of antineoplastic drugs to the Oncology Unit of the Autonomous Institute Hospital Universitario de Los Andes (Iahula), in the state of Mérida.
The director of the health center, Franklin Ramírez, thanked the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the Minister of Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, because “they made it possible for medicines to reach cancer patients.”
Ramírez specified that part of the drugs received were: “Hydroxychloroquine, Azathioprine, Dacarbazine, Bicalutamide, to combat cancer cells in patients who attend the oncology service at the hospital,” the doctor said.
The Director of the health center informed that it is important that users of the service update their data for the file, presenting the prescription, medical report, photocopy of identity card and two letter-size yellow folders to continue dispensing medications on a regular basis. and free, the government indicated on its Instagram account @ gobernacion_merida.
