Even with the limitations that the Covid-19 pandemic brought, the supply of medicines by the Nova Veneza Municipal Public Pharmacy continues as normal. The service aims to offer medicines, free of charge, of those medicines that are part of the National List of Essential Medicines (RENAME), in addition to other high-cost medicines.
The pharmacist in charge of the pharmacy, Natália Gava, comments that all medicines are delivered by prescription. “It is essential that the patient has gone through a doctor, so that he can prescribe the best medicine. With the prescription in hand, the citizen can stop by the pharmacy and order the medication ”, he highlights.
Basic or essential medicines, such as analgesics and medicines for diabetics, can be found directly at the Basic Health Units (UBS) and also a list of medicines offered at Popular Pharmacies. “The drugs we have here at the Pharmacy are drugs that require strict control and that is why they are called controlled and cannot be distributed anywhere else without the supervision of a pharmacist”, emphasizes Natália.
The Municipal Public Pharmacy is open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 5 pm. The space is located at Rua Alfredo Pessi, 351, in the center of Nova Veneza.
