A preliminary analysis of the urine of the late American rock band Foo Fighters revealed traces of ten psychotropic substances and drugs in his body. This was announced by the Colombian prosecutor’s office. What exactly killed Hawkins is still being investigated by medical examiners.
The drummer of the famous rock band Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins had a cocktail of drugs in his body when he died on Friday, according to information from the Colombian authorities.
The deceased musician’s first forensic medical examination and urine analysis revealed 10 psychotropic substances, including THC (marijuana), antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids, appeared in an official statement by the Colombian Attorney General’s Office on Twitter.

Hawkins was found dead at a hotel in Bogota, Colombia, where the band was scheduled to perform at a music festival on Friday. Shortly before his death, according to the media, he complained of chest pain. The called doctor tried to revive him, unfortunately without success.
“The National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to conduct the necessary medical studies to determine the cause of death,” the Attorney General’s Office said in a statement, adding that it would report the findings of forensic expertise in a timely manner.
Hawkins died at the age of 50. The band, with which he has collaborated since 1997, announced his death on social media. “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the announcement said. “His musical spirit and contagious laughter will stay with us forever,” the band added.
Hawkins had extensive experience with drug use. He ended up in a coma in 2001 due to a heroin overdose, he reports Los Angeles Times. The drummer himself later claimed that he had learned his lesson and was already clean.
