Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – With the help of a new institute for emergency medical education, emergency medicine in Bavaria is to become even better. “The corona pandemic shows us how important a functioning and powerful health system is,” said Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) on Friday at the founding event in Fürth. Well-trained specialists are indispensable.

The institute, supported by the Fürth Clinic and the Emergency Medicine Working Group in Fürth, aims to train paramedics and medical specialists in many areas of emergency medicine, but also in intercultural competence and in the de-escalation of conflicts. “The latter in particular is very important to me, as our emergency services are unfortunately increasingly exposed to aggressive behavior and are now given valuable de-escalating solutions,” said Herrmann.
