(ANSA) – ROME, APR 24 – The basic text adopted practically unanimously by the Select Committee of the Senate Education Commission for access to Medicine does not modify the programs regarding the tests for access to the faculty scheduled for next May and July . The reform should come into force from 2025-2026. At the moment, two test sessions are planned – next May and July -, with the possibility for candidates to participate in both. The tests take place in person on a paper format; There are sixty questions extracted from a special public database made up of at least 7,000 questions. The registration procedure for the tests and the subsequent phase of inclusion in the national ranking are exclusively online. The admission tests for the master’s degree courses in Medicine and Surgery and in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics taught in Italian will take place on Tuesday 28 May 2024 and Tuesday 30 July. Those for single-cycle master’s degree courses in Veterinary Medicine, however, will be on Wednesday 29 May 2024 and Wednesday 31 July 2024. The questions will be extracted from a specific database, also containing the correct answer. The database, made up of at least 7,000 questions overall, will be published on the website: https://accessoprogrammato.mur.gov.it/2024/. Half of the publication will take place (at least 3,500 questions) at least twenty days before the test dates set in May 2024. For the other half (at least 3,500 questions) at least twenty days before the test dates set in the month of July 2024. The admission tests, for which a time of 100 minutes will be assigned, will consist of the solution of 60 questions which will present 5 answer options, among which the candidate must identify only one, on topics relating to reading skills and knowledge acquired in studies, logical reasoning and problems, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. Specifically, for the single-cycle master’s degree in medicine and surgery and in dentistry and dental prosthetics, 4 questions will be prepared on reading skills and knowledge acquired during studies; 5 of logical reasoning and problems; 23 of biology (19 for the admission test to single-cycle master’s degree courses in veterinary medicine); 15 in chemistry (19 for the admission test to single-cycle master’s degree courses in veterinary medicine); 13 of physics and mathematics. Candidates will be eligible for admission to degree courses if they have obtained a minimum score of 20 points in the respective test. For the evaluation of the tests, a maximum of 90 points will be awarded, taking into account the following criteria: 1.5 points for each correct answer; minus 0.4 points for each incorrect answer; 0 points for each omitted answer. To be included in the ranking, candidates will be able to use the best of the results achieved following participation in the admission tests scheduled for each session. The places for enrollment in bachelor’s and single-cycle master’s degree courses will be divided among the universities with subsequent decrees. (HANDLE).
