“On this attempted and successful” coup “, together with other fellow councilors, I formally sent, last December, a request for a resolution to be discussed in the City Council together with the Sant’Anna Hospital affair and the more complex situation of the Catanzaro health care. Unfortunately, and we do not understand the reasons, that resolution was only partially dealt with in the classroom, cutting out of the debate the “case” of the establishment of an inter-university degree course in medicine and surgery that will damage Catanzaro and its educational vocation. The political and executive class, as well as the leaders of the Umg, should have defended, strengthened and enhanced the Faculty of Medicine making the barricades against the attempts, for several years put into practice, to create useless and expensive clones by duplicating the offer. Among other things, this “generosity” is always valid in one direction: never before have we been able to witness a similar duplication, for example, of courses in engineering, architecture, literature and philosophy from Cosenza to Catanzaro. In the resolution, therefore, we asked for an immediate discussion with the rector to clarify this decision.
